Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-09-18. This policy describes what Tropic Jar (abacaxi.top) collects, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

This site has no accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter. The only information it holds about a visitor is what any web server records in its access log, plus whatever advertising cookies are set on the pages that carry ads. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used to build a profile of you outside advertising.

What is collected automatically

Our web server records the usual request metadata: the IP address that made the request, the time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser’s user agent string. These logs are kept for 30 days for security and troubleshooting and are then discarded. They are not combined with any other data and are not used to identify individuals.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the site you are visiting or by third parties whose content appears on it. Tropic Jar itself sets no cookies for tracking and requires none to read any page: with JavaScript disabled, every recipe, every number and every stage is still in the page.

Advertising and third-party vendors

This site is supported by advertising, and it is served through Google AdSense. We use third-party advertising companies, including Google, to serve ads when you visit.

If you are a California resident, you may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, request that we delete it, and request that we not sell it. Tropic Jar does not sell personal information and has not done so in the preceding twelve months. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, write to the address below and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it, and material changes will be described here rather than edited in quietly. We do not notify visitors individually, because we have no way to contact them.
